Everyone has thier own idea about high gas prices. Some say the oil companies others say traders in th stock market.

I agree traders do drive prices higher not oil companies. Most oil companies and refiners are not making a high percent of profit with gas or oil so high.

The one real reason gas prices are so high is we use way too much gasoline daily. Everyone should look at the fact that every 5 miles a hour you drive faster uses 3 miles a gallon more in a fuel efficient car now imagine SUVs and semi trucks. The USa would save 1 2 or 3 million barrels of oil a day if we went back to the 55 mph per speed limit.

Now is the prices of gas worth $4 to save 5 minutes of a 1 hour drive or would you be willing to pay $2 a gallon and take 5 minutes longer.

If the politicians want to lower the price of oil and gasoline and desiel fast lower the speed limit back to 55 mph and it will drop the prices in a week or 2.

The new immigration bill is a bad deal for any taxpaying american citizen.

This so call immigration reform is nothing more than amesty for 12 to 20 million illegal aliens who broke are laws and break mutiple laws daily.


The goverment can not even say that it is only 20 million people they have no idea how many people are here illegaly. This bill will also give amesty to anyone who stayed here after thier visa expired. That means students and workes and others who came here with a visa and never left and live here illegaly will get free pass on all are laws.

Now for the fun part. If 20 million illegal aliens that the goverment says is here gets amesty this will BANKRUPT social security for all of us. Medicare and medicaid will be bankrupt and schools and hospitals will go broke because so many people here illegaly do not pay taxes or for medical services or schools.

Remember one thing the terriosts from 9 11 where here illegaly and this bill will allow anyone like them amesty. If we do not know who is here legaly or what thier real name is we will be allowing people to stay in this country that could be terriosts.

Back to the 20 million illegal alines from south of the border. Mexico deports anyone illegal but tells the USA we have to accept them. Mexico does not give them free schooling or medical services but demands the USA to give illegal alines it and amesty.

If you really think the people working off the books right now with fake IDs and social security cards and drivers license will ever pay taxes you have a rude awakeing.

Would you pay taxes if you stand outside of stores to get day jobs from home depot and do not pay taxes and get paid cash. If i did work for cash and did not pay taxes the Irs would lock me up for tax avasion.

The goverment says those people will now file taxes but i doubt they will. If they get paid cash they have no record of what they make and will not be able to collect taxes. This means US taxpayers pay for thier bills.

If they have no problem doing any of the above i am sure they will have no problem continueing to not pay taxes and not pay for school medical or anything else.

If 20 million and that is Very low estimate get amesty they can bring family members here to become citizens. That means any family member not just thier kids. Thier parents aunts uncles and thier families are allowed.

The goverment figured that each person could possible bring in 204 people each. That is insane. Even if only 20 million are allowed and that is not the case more like 80 or 100 million people because they will be allowed to bring children in. Social security will be BANKRUPT in few years. All legal citizens will see social security payments decrease and then go down untill it is no longer. Medicaid and medicare will be same way.

We will no longer have social security medicare or medicaid and are shcools and local Taxes will go through the roof to pay for millions of people who do not pay taxes now and most will not pay taxes after becoming legal.

President Bush wanted to get rid of social security by making people invest own money for retirement. This so called immigration bill will get rid of social security by bankrupting it. I guess he will have his way and fix the problem by making it go bankrupt.

Email your senators and congressmen. If we do not tell them to stop this and enforce are LAWs we will all pay more taxes and not get any social security or medicaid or medicare.

Ok she is running and said so today. No big deal everyone knew she would if she thinks she can win.

And the big one they would hate. Make every fedral employee work till same age everyone else has to get retirment. No more 20 25years your out and get second job with another pension what a wasit of taxpayers money. They want me to work till i am 67 to retire so should federal and stae employees and they should get same medical as we do not special treatmen.

My favorite would be all politicans do not get paid after leaving office. No one gets retirment from working for 4 or 8 years so they should not get one. If they work 40 year then maybe and if they get same medical and rest of us they would fix it.

Gasoline prices are going up and up for a few reasons.

First the amount of gas and oil produced has dropped since President Bush has taken office. The main reason is the Iraq war. Iraq was producing 1 million more barrels of oil a day before we invaded the country.

I find if funny that the politicians are going after Exxon about gas prices when they are not the company who has not lived up to thier deal. Haliburton was suppose to get oil production back up in Iraq and after 4 years they are producing less oil now than when Iraq had sanctions on them.

Haliburton has made billions off high oil prices and billions of contracts Bush gave them to rebuild Iraq. So far most of the work Haliburton has done is over budget or not done at all while they have been paid billions.

Second Bush allowed speed limits on highways to go up. If we go back to 55 miles a hour it would save gas and the prices would be lower. He also gave tax breaks for people to buy gas guzzleing SUVS like hummers for business.

Third after 9 11 are govermnet did nothing. We all know that money from oil paid for terriost groups to attack the USa. We have not raised millage in cars and trucks until last year. That is 4 years after the fact.

The fifth reason is we do not allow oil companies to drill in alot of areas now. Bush keeps pushing drilling in alaska. Well that would take years before we get any new oil. If we allowed drilling off coast of florida we could get new oil in months or a year not 5 to 10. We have alot of oil off are coast and do not allow oil to be drilled for. I find it funny how bush says we need to open up alaska but never mentions florida. If florida was opened up we have the rigs down in the gulf right now. We also would see lower natural gas prices and we all could use that also.

South america is now drilling off coast of florida so many miles out. If they have spill it will be same if we did. Why let them get the oil and gas when we can get it and not buy it back from them.

The last reason is the future trading of oil. People can buy huge amounts of oil with very little money. This can drive prices up very fast. They buy a block of oil for pennies on the dollar betting if it will go up or down. Oil companies have no control over this and future traders drive prices up with any bad news like Iran or iraq.

Can Bush lower prices yes and not in 10 years like hydrogen cars he promotes. First lower speed limits back to 55 then get rid of tax breaks on suvs for business and give tax breaks for anyone trading in car or truck who buys one with better mileage. Let oil comapnies drill off coast of florida.

Last Bush should be telling oil traders not to drive prices up so far or maybe we should not allow futures to be traded on oil. I bet prices would drop fast if future traders were out of markets.

The fact that we outsourced US jobs over seas to china and india is now coming back to hurt us at the gas pump. Since we gave millions oif jobs to india and china they now can buy cars and gas. This mkeans we created are own competition for gas..

Second the war in teh middle east has caused a great deal of problesm for gas prices. Iran drives prices up when they argue with the USa. This is because the stock market traders drive prices up on fears of shortages if iran stops selling oil. Second is the war in Iraq after 4 years now Iraq produces LESS oil than before the war. Bush said Iraq woiul be back up to pre gulf war production and Haliburton is suppose to get all the oil back online.

Seems like Haliburton can not do anything right and they now have iraq producing less oil then when we went into iraq. Maybe Haliburton likes them producing less oil they make more money off thier oil proiduction then.

Bush said today he will stop filling US oil reserve. Good idea it will help a little very little but atleast it will help. Bush should have raised milage on Truck and suvs right after 9 11. The oil we buy from middle east paid for the terriost and other groups like hamas. If we had raised milage for all cars and trucks would could have stoped buying gas from some middle east countries and would not have such a huge trade deficit.

Brasil will not import any oil this year they are now using alcohol for fuel. It took 5 years but they now make most of the fuel they need and will be selling some in near future. If a third world country can do this do not tell me the USA could not.
